Tamuda Bay, North Morocco
Tamuda Bay is along Morocco's Mediteranean coast between Fnideq and M'diq
On the 31st October 2006 the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and Social Economy
renamed this area, giving it a specific personality among the Moroccan and Mediteranean resorts.
The name Tamuda comes from the City founded by the Phoenicians which was destroyed
by fire and is now known as Tetouan.
Tamuda Bay is not one of the six new resorts:
- Saidia Mediterrania
- Lixus
- Mazagan
- Mogador
- Taghazout
- Plage Blanche
However the region known by the French and Moroccans for holidays is due to get an extra 8 sea facing hotels
consisting of 5,000 beds and 4 golf courses. To be ready for marketing in 2009.
This is on top of the many apartment complexes that are going up already.
